Digital Identity
DetectX® Digital Identity evaluates device, session and login signals from customer-facing applications to detect anomalous behaviour and account takeover.
The DetectX® approach
Signals are read from the applications a customer already uses rather than from a separate verification step, so the check runs on the behaviour of a session instead of on a document at onboarding.
Device, session and login signals are evaluated together, which is what distinguishes a customer on a new phone from someone else on that customer's account.
- Device signals
- The hardware and configuration a session comes from.
- Session signals
- How the session behaves, not only where it starts.
- Login signals
- Authentication patterns over time, per customer.
- Account takeover
- Anomalous behaviour on a known-good account.
Key benefits and impact
Fraud that passes an identity check at onboarding is still caught, because the signal is the session rather than the document.
Why DetectX®
Digital signals land in the same alert queue as a screening match or a monitoring alert, so an analyst sees an account takeover attempt next to everything else known about that customer rather than in a separate fraud tool.
Regulatory requirements
DetectX® supports the FATF and GAFI recommendations, and is used against Swiss regulatory requirements including GwG, FINMA-GwV, VsB 16, KAG, FinfraG, FidleG, BEHG and KKG.
It also supports MiFID and EMIR reporting obligations, and BASEL II and III requirements.
